Logistics & Commitment

What to Expect

 

Season Length:

  • Our year starts with indoor practices in November and ends at the conclusion of the RDYSL Travel League season in late July.
  • August-October is our off-season.
Time Commitment:
  • Indoor practices start in November and are roughly 1/week through April.
  • Outdoor practices are weather permiting and usually 2/week from April-May.
  • The league/game season is from mid-May through July. Usually 1 game and 1 or 2 practices per week.
  • We also understand that kids play other sports and can't make every practice and game. We try to keep roster sizes large enough to give players and coaches flexibility.

Travel Distance:

  • The Rochester District Youth Soccer League geographic area includes all of Monroe County, as well as parts of Wayne, Livingston, and Genesee counties.
  • Most teams are in Monroe County.
  • There are 6 away games and 6 home games.
