Registration occurs in late Summer through September. Registrations submitted after the close date will be placed on a waiting list and accepted at the coach's discretion.
The need for try-outs will be assessed at the close of registration and managed on a team and age group basis. If a player does not make the team he or she is trying out for, we may offer a spot on a different team, provided the player is age eligible.
The registration fees for travel soccer are higher than recreational leagues primarily due to the costs of indoor training, insurance coverage, league registration, and referee scheduling. We also invest time and money into professionally run player and coaching developent events and programs.
A family’s financial condition should not be a prohibiting factor for a deserving player. Partial or full scholarships can be arranged during registration. Certain information, or course, will be required to verify need and prioritize the applicants. The information that is provided will be kept confidential. Interest-free deferred payments plans are also available for those that would like to spread the cost over several months.
Registration is also now open for the 2011-2012 PDP season. The program focuses on 1st and 2nd grade player skill development in a fun and energetic environment. Generally, there are 10-12 indoor sessions spread out from November through April at the Brighton Sports Zone on Brighton-Henrietta Town Line. We also participate in scrimmage "jamborees" with other local clubs once we can get outside. PDP players do not play in the RDYSL travel league and the program wraps up by early June.
The goal of the program is to build both soccer skills as well as an enjoyment of the game in our future travel players.
